Camp Shakespeare 2010

Georgia Shakespeare offers exciting opportunities for children during the summer, with two-week programs for all age groups.  Best of all, there is NO audition required.

Elementary School Campers
Ages 7-10

Kids enter the wonderful world of theater and discover one of the greatest writers of all time during Georgia Shakespeare’s award-winning Camp Shakespeare. Using theater games, acting exercises, arts and crafts and a lot of imagination, children learn while having a great time! Kids even get stage time when they present a special performance on the final day for friends and family.
When: Monday - Friday, June 21 - July 2, 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

Middle School Shakespeareance
Ages 11-13

Shakespeareance performers explore and present a 45-minute cutting of one of Shakespeare's plays, complete with stage combat, costumes, and a final performance for friends and family!  Games, improvisation, acting exercises, and arts and crafts are included to immerse the Shakespeareance performer in a fun and engaging way into the world of William Shakespeare. Final Performance on the last day of camp, July 16!
When: Monday - Friday, July 5 - July 16, 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
Cost: $250

High School Conservatory
Ages 14-18

For the serious young actor, this two-week intensive is an an opportunity to work with members of Georgia Shakespeare's award winning company of actors in the areas of voice and text, movement, monologues and scenework. In addition there are seminars in stage combat, and audition technique. Participants will learn one monologue and one scene from Shakespeare to be performed for friends and family on the Conant stage Saturday, July 31.
When: Tuesday - Saturday, July 20 - July 31, 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Cost: $600
