Georgia Shakespeare is proud to call Oglethorpe University a partner and supporter.  As the professional theatre company in residence at Oglethorpe University, Georgia Shakespeare plays an active role in the school's theatre department, with professional staff and artists leading classes, holding workshops, and directing shows on a regular basis.  In 2008, Oglethorpe University instituted the Georgia Shakespeare Scholarship for theatre majors.  Oglethorpe University students and graduates often work with Georgia Shakespeare's professional staff and artists in various administration, production and artistic intern positions.   

Although our partnership is strong, Georgia Shakespeare and Oglethorpe University are seperate non-profits, each with its own board of trustees.  The two organizations share joint-use of the Conant Performing Arts Center and work together to promote and support each other's mission and core objectives.
